How about actually making a website thing. Instead of going straight to the forums when you go to solidsurf.info, you could make a homepage that has links, news, maps to DL, and other stuff? Just an idea.

Maybe the main page should be the wiki if we do that up a lil more? Or just the studio page in fpsb?

Owned! How about a board exclusive only to certain groups? (Like people post useful things)

A suggestion I have is a rating system, like funny rating, disagree, agree, etc.
Example here forums.facepunchstudios.com
If you don't know how to do it I can hire you someone that can help.

Maybe a Karma system?

hmm.
I've added a mod that allows you to rate threads in certain forums. Currently you can rate threads in the Surf Shack, Waves, Ripples, Tutorials, and Useful Stuff forums.
I added a mod that was supposed to add functionality similar to what's on the facepunch forums, but it didn't seem to work.

2 things. 1 is a collaborative mappack of all SolidSurf staff made maps linked somewhere on your site. 2 is anonymous ftp access to your maps so hosting companies can download directly to their servers and save us (the end user) from having to download and then upload at a blazing 60K/s.

The only place you will be able to download all Solidsurf studio maps would be to check out our studio at www.fpsbanana.com which is where almost all the Solidsurf maps have been released.

Both would be useful. I can work on putting together a map pack, but I can't do anything about anonymous FTP access.
