New here, just happened to find your server. You may have seen me surfing around under EpYoN {SB} - LavaCrunchCakes or some equally stupid name. Long story short version is that I've just purchased a 66 tick 16 man server to play nothing but skill maps. I don't know if advertising is allowed here (seems others have done so) but if it's allowed, I'll post the ip once it's fully configured.

I left 3 combat style surfing maps in the list because they at least have a decently long goal to the top of jail.

The last map is for the many in my clan that have never surfed before and might want to learn.

Any recommendation for skill maps as well as potential tutorial maps would be most appreciated.

Sorry...copied that from my notepad. The hyphens denoted whether or not I had the map yet...the X denoted when it was downloaded. Spent the past few hours uploading all the maps to the ftp...now I've gotta figure out how to get votemaps and admins and rtv. Looks like mani admin mod is the way to go but I'm a little green with the whole hosting process.

Sorry for double post, but a question. I've finally gotten the server up (mani still isn't fully configged for proper nomination) but I can't seem to find out how to set up noblock. Do I have to download another mod for it?

needs eventscripts, which you can find here: http://www.mattie.info/cs/
you should get the 2.x version else the newer scripts won't work, theres an installation video guide on the top right of that page.

noblock script is here: http://addons.eventscripts.com/addons/view/simplenoblock
after installing it, to make it work for all maps you should open it in notepad and edit the below line by replacing the emboldened 0 with 1:

simp_noblock_all_maps = config.cvar('simp_noblock_all_maps',  '0', '1: Will have it so that every map has noblock. 0: Will have it so that only maps in the simp_noblock_maplist will have noblock.')

i haven't tried that script so if it doesn't work give http://addons.eventscripts.com a search, there's plenty more.

I would use eventscript if i where U...
Its a very nice script but very unstable too.
U can download noblock for Sourcemod too.

That was everything I needed, thanks. Everything seems to be working pretty smoothly now, but the map download times are pretty slow...even with the redirect service gameservers offers. Surf_construction crashes the server and it complains about missing models, might try downloading another version, not sure what else to do.

Server is now setup and running pretty smoothly. Fast DL seems to be working well. Can't help but notice that the skill maps scare away most people that join, but the purpose of this server isn't popularity. If you join, lemme know how it plays. Thanks. -EpYoN
