How to fix the update bug

Step 1: Launch SourceSDK

Step 2: Choose any game from the engine of 2009 and launch Hammer Editor

Step 3: Go to: Tools > Options

Step 4: Game configuration: Press Edit, Add and type in Counter-Strike: Source

Step 5: NOTE: Game Engine: is placed in: $SteamUserDir\sourcesdk\bin\orangebox\bin\, choose cstrike

Step 6: Do the following config like it would be in the engine.

Step 7: Go to Build Programs: Game Executable is the same as in the old engine

Configs of the build:

Game Executable: $SteamUserDir\counter-strike source\hl2.exe

bsp: $SteamUserDir\sourcesdk\bin\orangebox\bin\vbsp.exe

vis: $SteamUserDir\sourcesdk\bin\orangebox\bin\vvis.exe

rad: $SteamUserDir\sourcesdk\bin\orangebox\bin\vrad.exe

choose by yourself where to place the maps

but if your lazy here: $SteamUserDir\counter-strike source\cstrike\maps

Restart SourceSDK and start mapping, cstrike will be shown under your source 09 engine.

Note: this is just reconfiguring CSS to the orangebox folders. it seems that the update replaced the executable files and fdg's but it didnt change the configurations.

Easier:

1. Start SDK
2. Choose the 2009 version
3. Reset Game Configurations
4. Refresh SDK Content
5. Restart SDK
6. Choose the 2009 version and Counter-Strike: Source

This works fine.

Something better than a chair ( I know that chairs are useful, and Lightning isn't... ).
