I know you are still online and refreshing every minute to see if someone posted a reaction and that's why I'm going to do my best..
I have always preferred nature environments above closed rooms or urban or anything else not nature. So that's +1 for the looks.
should be a linear.. could be because I myself don't like skill stage maps alot. But also the floor part looks really good with the displacements and bridges and stuff. Those + env_fire are a waste of time i think, in skill maps.
Try lowering the rain percentage because slow machines of maaaaany players will probably fail.

Yeah, looks alright from the screens, but I agree that it also looks like it might be unplayable on a not so good computer. What fps do you get in it?

Nope... Stage 2 is set in like a coal mine environment  Stage 3 might be like inside a volvano or something, they will all be different.

I'm sorry but there fog and fires don't need to be removed. I have the lowest version of the iMac from the generation before the current ones, and isn't at all great with games, but I do not lag one bit on the map and I don't have a low FPS either...

No, because it still gets rendered Fog only helps much if you use far Z, because then it only renders till this spot

That just automatically appeared with the env_fire... I didn't have a proper look in the settings of the entity but I automatically assumed that was new from the update? Anyway, it doesn't appear to effect the FPS rate at all and there's no lag on the map (Y)

Updated first post with screenshots of completed stage 2... I have removed the smoke from all fires and there is a very slight FPS increase... And for those of you complaining about how dark it is, it is a lot lighter in game and you can see the ramps fine

Right guys, i've removed fog and rain and changed the light_environment settings slightly and I'm happy with the results... Based on the suggestion earlier about the floating ramps, I have fixed that issue and here's a screenshot:

Why forbidden tomb  Well it's got nothing to do with forbidden tomb tbh, they were the only custom egypt textures I could find... The surf doesn't resemble/copy forbidden tombs in anyway either so *shrug* ...

they are way to small!
In game they look bigger, dunno why my screenshots are making them look smaller, I noticed that when I posted.

tbh? whuts that? this is the design of forbidden tomb. only the lightning is different (most of the textures that mappers use are custom textures?!) but yeah ... I dont care
