I find most remakes horrible. My favo is xdream but nothing beats the original.
And now I want to know wich was the first surf map? Who discovered surf style, airaccelerate change etc. ??

surf_greatriver_v2
surf_greatriver_v3
surf_greatriver_v4
surf_greatriver_xdre4m
surf_greatest_river (Not the greatest, sorry buck)
But according to spoz there must be more.
Those are the most common, but if you look, you'll see many greatriver clans will just slap their name on it and add a secret, and bam...another greatriver version to the never ending list. |

yeah i like master exploder alot! I also find this XIV combat stage one of the best greatriver interpretations: That is actually a mini-map version of one of Smooth's own maps, surf_canals, I believe it was called. |

It's apparently been around since before the HL1 engine. I can't find any source to verify, but I seem to recall reading about Quake II surfing at one point. |

Wow, thats quite old then, many of the greatriver maps on fpsb happen to come from greatriver clans, anybody know why? |

Ace Of Spades13, did release surf_greatriver, the first of the versions with a jail, the old versions was surf_river, surf_river_v2 made by monkeydie
