Why does everyone suddenly feel the need to remake this map? What's wrong with the current surf_legendary?

Never played it and never see it on a server. I assume something is fundementally wrong with it.

EGI is playing it frequently, it's a great map!

the 'released' beta version had a broken teleport. some servers fixed it in their own way (entspy, decompile, stripper: source, etc.), and the only way to get it is from their server/s... but with no official release, and the clusterfuck of user edited maps, you can see what's wrong with this. I have no idea why the teleport wasn't just fixed and released officially. I assume they wanted to add/change some things, which didn't work out... sometimes you just have to cut things down to make a finished map viable. story of your life.

~i copied this from someone else. it's awesome~

This is a good thing, unless you still don't use the grid, put  giant skybox around your level, and carve cylinders straight into walls. \

Out of curiosity, how do you put cylindrical holes into a wall?

I am sure my method is not the best; which is cutting a square hole into a wall, and making a 360degree "arch" with the correct dimensions, clipping it to be square and inserting it into the square hole.

Everyone needs to learn this technique.
Give me a few minutes and I make a tut for you :}

Edit:
Basically this goes for any size hole that you want, it's best to triple it.

How bout' doing the same shit as FAJ's doing with commune? Shouldn't be that hard.. some stages would need total rebuild, some needs simple fixes. That, and getting a proper system / jail up and running. Would be awesome if it worked out..

I will, one day maybe soon actually... I have like zero time to map or even game anymore since my girlfriend lives with me now. I'll have to make time when she's at work I guess. \

I would rather just redo everything myself, because no one has any idea what they are doing.  Except a select few teheheh.

I want to, for sure.  I don't have a problem picking up the stages that people didn't make yet... I made the first 4 (or 5) already just for fun...

Make level 7 harder, apprently it's become easier with the new engine.
