Smooth ramps with no stickies at the bottom corners
« on: March 12, 2008, 05:23:58 PM »
http://rapidshare.com/files/98864161/RampTutorial.rar

This is NOT the tutorial for Humps or Outward Curves!

Read X-Shark's smooth ramp tutorial before you do this. If you want you can also just make a second brush under the ramp and delete it later if you don't want the little piece under it. You may see the overlapping piece a little bit though.

Sorry for the background noise on the mic, I had to record it seperately because Camtasia wasn't cooperating fully.

Paper-Cut, I honestly think you should not make a tutorial about how to make ramps that curve on to axis. Then everyone will do it! I think only the people who figure it out should be able to.

Dude, its not that hard to figure out. There is one key thing you must know before it works. Look at wavelength and Paper-Cuts surf_eclipse. What do all the ramps have in common?

I still think Roosta is one of the best with geometry in hammer.  I think paper does make some really good ramps though.

I never said anything of the sort, so I really don't know what you're talking about.

The humps aren't hard at all to make if you would actually sit down and think about it.

There so easy! I already make ramps like that, what I was trying to accomplish was something else. I don't understand how you guys can't figure it out. Paper-Cut already released a one picture tutorial on how to do it and you guys don't even know it.

Little hypocritical for you Thay, seeing as you were one of the ones begging me for a tutorial because you couldn't figure it out.

I have never made a surf map before, but I have to say its not that hard to figure out ramps with waves up and down or double sided ramps that turn its basically just common sense and a little bit of time to think about it.  Also, I'm not very good with names of Pro-Surf map makers, but what has Paper-Cut made that I would know? \ \

surf_eclipse
surf_machine_remix (v1 and v2)
surf_funpark_reloaded
surf_ny_bigloop_2008
surf_oldskool
