Making Buttons open Doors by DIB

This is a tut to show you how to make a button, that you press, open a door. This shows you how to do it with normal brushes that you make, not with models (cause i dont know how).

First you have to make your door the size, shape and position that you want it, then you have to make your button the size and shape and position that you want it.

Once you do that, select your button and tie it to an entity called func_button. To do this, select your button, press Ctrl + T and find the drop down menu in the dialog box, and find func_button.

Adjust the settings as you like. The only ones you are really going to need to adjust are the Speed, Moving Direction (Pitch Yaw Roll), Lip, and Delay Before Reset (-1 stay) The defaults are fine, but depending on what you want you should change them. If you dont know what to change them to, then ask.

Once all that is set, press Apply, and close out of that window.

Now, Select your door, and press Ctrl + T, and make it a func_door.

Change its 'Name' to 'door'.

Then adjust the settings to what you want.

Next, click on the tap up at the top labled Flags, and make everything unchecked:

Now, click Apply and close the window.

Double click on your button again (3D view), and find the tab up at the top labled Outputs

Find the button at the bottom that says Add.. and press it. Now find the dropbox with 'My Output Named' writen next to it, open it, and find 'On Pressed':

After that, go right below it, where it says 'Target Entities Name', open it and find 'door':

Then go right below that, and find 'Via This Input', open it and select 'Open':

Thats it.

---

I did this from my memory of how to do it, but i might have remembered somthing wrong, so let me know if this works...

Just add another output on the button that opens the other door.
