surf_underearth (looking for a better name D:)

Soo yea. surf_underearth (dunno if it's already used; but i'm looking for a better name so or so) will be a Linear map like rebel_Resistance. You know?
Long surf way, weapons at the end, going to a jail, kill some guys which have failed..
This map will contain 3 surf ways, with little "Stops". means you can get there other weapons and go to jail (i think you know what i mean xD)
The Design of this map will be based on the Lightning.
The Surf is pretty fast.  \

So yea, map is like half done, here you got 3 screenshots (more ingame screenshots will come later D:):

Looking good man, but it's looking kinda dull, the walltexture needs to be scaled up, and it should have something to spice it up a bit.. Other then that, it looks awesome : )

Interesting. Imo u can't do an underearth map without displacements :p
the jail maybe, cause making the whole map with disp would be a pain in the ass.

Detailing ramps is just common sense. Although the addition of visclustering its not as much of a requirement now, but still good mapping etiquette.

This also got me thinking... yesterday I was watching The lord of the rings, return of the king, and at the end, when the two lads enter mount doom, there is a bridge. Where does the bridge support on, how were the arches carved in? Because there's only lava down there..

Soo i dedicated to only make 2 surf ways, those are done  \
1 Surf way has a surf time of ~40 - 50 seconds (or more, depends on your surf skills)
That's pretty enough.
& no, those walls don't need to be displacements. You won't care if you play it.
Here are some screens of the surf part (may look a bit dark for you @ some parts, but it's fine ingame):









Some surfers may get problems with this map, thought. It's pretty fast.
& now i'm going to think about a real good combat jail, haha.   \

About the jail, yeah.. Musta be cool, i have something in my mind: (don't know if its possible though)

Make a few columns on wich you can jump on and escape (like in the new surf_forbidden_ways)
But give those columns a variable place, so its not always possible to escape... I hope you know what i mean :p

P.s. I wanna play this (beta-test? (A) ) :p

My Fps are going around 150-200fps the most time.
Just at the round start when the fire spawns for 2 seconds under 100 xD
& at 1 part (the one with the big room) they are going down to ~100

Its not the lights themselves technically, its the amount of leaves that the cast falls onto. Long story short, anything that isn't world faces or water, f_d it.

Have been working a bit on the jail.
It'll be something like an own little combat map..
Jail Opens every 90 seconds (only way for everybody to 'escape')
Isn't done now.
