surf_freedom (LEVEL 1 AND 2 DONE-SCREENS)

My first surf map i think I will finish.

I am open to suggestions, but keep them respectful please, I just want to know what can be improved.

Screenshots:
















The Idea

Theme changes from level to level, very ambient with  sounds.

How it works:

The map will have stages, idk how many.

If somebody beats the map, they can choose to take the knife and bring people to jail, or do bonus 1 and get a deagle, OR do bonus 2 and if beaten send all players to jail, and you are rewarded with an awp and access to the jail control panel ^_^.

Mappers needed


  • Bonus - Lightning
  • Bonus 2 - cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeese

STAGES CAN BE DONE TOO IF YOU ASK AND IF IT IS GOOD \

Just make sure it doesnt become overrun by campers or the rounds dont last insanely long. I mean it seems to me like camping spawn would be the primary method of eliminating the other team which doesnt make for the best gameplay. I would possibly implement some sort of jail/timer system, it is overdone, but it is necessary for this type of map I feel. If you can come up with something different/better do it! I'm not going to be too specific with my advice because everyone should work out game flow for themselves when mapping to give the user the experience they want them to have. Best of luck!  \

my guess would be... that his server automaticaly removes the timer which activates jail?

i guess that is true, my cstrike/maps is about 23gb now (because all my unfinished map projects are in there too)

i don't think the glass is suited to the walls in that first screen-shot. those textures seem to be most used in (and intended for) ancient/ruins themed maps.. and glass shouldn't usually make an appearance, as part of the main walls anyway <.<;;

I can see screenshot 2 is way darker than the first one. Maybe some rooftop that's missing in 1 i don't know. Would be nice if they both are somehow lightened the same. Also your lights are VERY close to the wall in screenshot2 I almost got blind looking at it. Putting them further away or lowering the brightness will do it.

Anyway it's all up to you  \.

Thanks for the advice! I think I am gonna take out glass and windows in the first part of stage 1 and put in more torches like in the second part of stage 1 \ No glass.
