How do I..?

Hey, I'm making this bonus, and I need a boost at it, but I don't want people to be able to double boost it, therefore I thought about making a blocking wall, that blocks you if you try to spin back and do the boost once again.

Like this: BOOST HERE | Level here.

And I need the wall to allow you to pass from the boost's side, and to block you from the other side. I tried to use filter_name's but I'm serious shit at it. Any help is appreciated. : ]

you couldn't use geometry to avoid having to use filter names? Sounds like shooting them through an opening in a wall is what you are looking for?

I was going to make a brush that was invisible from the side you start at. and if you turn back you would see a hand like stopping or a stop sign.I could just use a func_illusionary for that, the other part is the tricky one.

make the boost encompass the entire cross-section where you go through? that way you cant go back through it, ebcause it pushes you back?  \

Good idea, but glitchy as hell. It also bugs you if you try to cross it.

This is the simplest thing i think you can do...just make a push trigger enoughly big to cover all the hollows, avoiding the spinning...because the same trigger_push will push in the opposite direction...i made it in ixtab bonus and it worked good...justr try it out.

Filters are pretty simple already. Also he probably won't use map wide filter system since he doesn't even know how to use them in the first place.
Filters will also allow you to be more creative with the design of the ramp/room; you won't be limited to some hole in the wall.

I don't agree that using filters allows you to be more or less creative. I think finding a creative solution to problems using geometry is more interesting than using filters so you can slap an arrow/chevron on the ramp. Not neccasarily a simple hole-in-wall, but using geometry to solve a problem is more interesting than behind-the-scenes filtering, IMO.
