working on a surf map, telehop freestyle map

yeah i know ramps arent smooth and textures are shit, but this was just the concept, ill remake it to be alot better

First of all, I'm glad this is something different for once, not a skill map..
This reminds me of the old days, especially with your shitty textures (that you will change of course like you said)

Anyway, I tested your bsp and I didn't get very far in the map. The launch ramp at spawn doesn't get me far enough to get on the second ramp (it worked sometimes but theres no speed to finish that second ramp)... Or maybe I'm completely disoriented in this..

I think this could work out, but I suppose you will need multiple layers in height (example surf_superk) so that you 'have' to surf in linear (make it 'have to' by placing weapons at the end of the line)  I'm also afraid things can go too quick (it's kind of small).

I saw your additions on your screenshot and I might have a suggestion for JAIL IDEA 1: make the exit a climb thing.

You said this was telehop bizniz but unfortunately I wasn't able to see the whole map...
I'd like a little update on the surf.

so yeah, thing is fps drops at some points to ~30, if anyone is real good boosting fps in surf maps, please let me know id like your help nevermind then  \

Just had a quick look over this.

I found 0 places where my machine ran less than 200fps. It seems perfectly fine FPS wise, and I wouldn't worry too much at this stage.

I remained at 299 fps the entire map, I love this map more than anything... now add guns and secrets dammit.

nice design, much fun and enough surf-ramps (thats what I like about combat-maps \). very nice work!

may make it wider. seems like its very loooong. some ramps/latforms or whatever at the right and the left side would make it a lil more compact.

I did not watch my fps but I didnt had lag or something

i make a door, that looks like the lower one on the pic i posted before, the origin is where the circle is and the yellow line where its pointing at.

Alright looks good, run the map, launch css and it has rotated 180 around the origin and now opens in the opposite direction.

door problem is fixed, pretty much everything is done now, just have to tweak some stuff in the 3d skybox and some sounds

Add grass and trees to the 3d skybox displacement if you ever feel like working on it again. The big dirt texture that you're using now looks kinda dull.
