Brian johnson-era preferably.

I come back to Alice In Chains time and time again.

I think Stevie Ray Vaughan was probably one of my favorite artists.

Metallica, System of a Down and Pendulum are the ones I listen to the most. My Metallica music collection is the largest of the three.

Oh, a word of advice. If anyone decides to say "Nickleback", I will personally come over to your house and chop off your penis.

Thank you in advance

I have one Nickelback song because it's catchy, is that ok?
Also, let's add our favorite song ever?
Metallica - Ride the Lightning

Vanden Plas - its a progressive metal hand from Germany

Also circus maximus, pagans mind, presto ballet, kings x, 3, anything sung by Jorn Lande, porcupine tree

Also a band from Brazil called Terra Incognita

Mostly stuff from Europe surprisingly enough.

Also ACDC is super generic imo, all of their songs consist of about 4-5 chords on the guitar.

FAJEDIT - I suspect this thread is mostly bait to make fun of posts like this. Go easy on him.

Make fun of me or razer?

Progressive metal is great, amazing instrumentals without that shitty screamo stuff.

well, the question was for favorite band; not 'what have you just started getting in to' or 'what I am listening to these days'

I figure to have a favorite, you should be listening to them for a while \

It is bait to make people sound like music hipster d-bags. In all fairness, you give AC/DC a lot of credit for being 4-5 chord song-writers (probably closer to 2 chords), but being someone's favorite doesn't mean they are complex or necessarily talented. I wouldn't call them my favorites, but I am always happy to hear AC/DC come on at the bar, and I will sing along in the car. Good shit.

If you haven't done so yet, see them live. One of the best gigs I've ever been to. Was worth the blood in my ears for the following 3 days :p

Yeah why should you change your clothing for the type of music you listen to?

A certain type of music generally goes hand in hand with that persons personality. The same applies to his clothing.. I still haven't seen a person who loves screamo, and slipknot type of stuff to wear a "PEACE" t-shirt or something of that sort.

when I was younger, I used to like Metallica, Megadeth and Slipknot, and wear vans and DC ( yup, retarded ). IMO you wear what your friends wear.
