Call me crazy, but I've read a shit load of manuals on self-sustainability.  From ditch-medicine, to S.A.S. survival handbooks, to prison knife fighting.

I have over 5,000 rounds of assorted ammunition, and all my other gear - that I'm not going to mention - is ready to go at a moments notice.
I know exactly where I'm going to go when something happens, in fact, I know several places I will go, given the circumstances and the magnitude.
I have a Kindle Fire with over 50 manuals on it, and an auxiliary hand operated radio (USB compatible) charger.

I am not paranoid about something happening, I am only ready to deal with the worst case scenario, and to me, preparing is fun.

My call sign is Stalker (wohohohoh, big surprise) for any one who is a HAM radio operator.

EDIT: I might be a prepper :[
And to anyone who is curious, physical fitness is the first key to survival
Also, 2 is 1, 1 is none, 3 is key.
Also, bring a friend who owns a rifle, and have him bring his friends who own rifles, too.

I'm on an island in the middle of an ocean, I'm safer here \

Rifles are harder to come by over here but I live in a town where theres a lot of farmers, so theres 2 gun stores over here, but most of them are air rifles. Pretty sure they stock legits though, and I've got a crossbow as a backup \

Farmers are always stocked up on some kind of fire power.

Also, I just want to clarify, I am not worried about HURP ZAWMBIES AND ASTEROIDS, I am just enabling myself to be ready for something that would require me to leave, or relocate for a while, i.e: natural disasters, riots (over TRAYVON), and the likes.  But, if you're prepared for any kind of long haul situation, you can basically deal with whatever is thrown at you, unless of course it's NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical), and even then, you would have to be at the epicenter of such events to really not be able to survive it.

EDIT: Yay for living in a mostly white, hardcore conservative state \

Ryan, if there ever were a zombie apocalypse, you would be too busy orgasming to actually defend yourself.

I would get a good feel, then a bad feel afterward
I think I'm legitimately terrified of the idea of zombies, I don't know what it is... maybe the fact that my parents let me watch Night of the Living Dead when I was four years old, maybe that.
I'm a zombie movie/game fan, but I think the idea of it actually happening scares me, just because of the psychological impact NotLD had on me when I was a youngin'.  Lolz
