Hey so this is the storry(i have tried searching everywhere, but i cant find the error i have);

I created a map in hammer, a simple one, no errors. I was going to bed, so i saved, and closed hammer and shut down my pc. The next morning when  was going to continue, it went fine, i did alot of nice work, saved and then when i compiled, it went all so fast, i took under 7 seconds. and i was like WTF?! so i went ingame to test, and there it was, still the same old map i had the day before.

so i went into my cstrike/maps and deleted the map. and compiled again, still only took 7 seconds. i went ingame and tested, and stilll the same old map from the day before.
i realised i had saved the .vmf file in another location then the default. so in that locatio i saw that there were a copy of the old .bsp file. i deleted that bsp file aswell as the one that was back in my cstrike direcotry. now when i compiled i got the error that a file was missing. i asked a friend, he told me to save the vmf with another name and compile again. so i went file>save as and saved in the default location sourcesdk_content/cstrike/mapsc and when i now compiled i got this(almos tthe same i had when i had deleted both bsp files from both locations);

heres a screenshot; http://oi47.tinypic.com/20f937t.jpg
and heres my compile log after i pressed yes; http://pastebin.com/g9hTC2h5

Thanks alot in advance \

Something bad happens during the VBSP.
Code: [Select]
Brush 17083, Side 3: duplicate plane
Brush 17083: FloatPlane: bad normal
Side 4
Texture: TOOLS/TOOLSNODRAW

Check brush 17083, see what's wrong with it. You could first try problem checker (ctrl + p) and if that doesn't fix the problem, find the brush (there's a shortcut for that too, I haven't opened Hammer for too long) and rebuild that brush.

I love these errors.  Lucky for you the cause was clear.  Sometimes for me it comes without explanation, and I end up having to go back an interation.

ok, so i got the same error, but i cant find anything while searching trough the compile log, else than "planes               59408/65536     1188160/1310720  (90.6%) VERY FULL!" is this the cause? and if it is, how do i fix it? i cant start deleteing planes can i?
Compile long before i deleted both .bsp files (in cstrike/maps and sourcesdk_content/cstriks/mapsrc)

Compile log after i deleted both bsp files and compiled again(i did get the error asking if i wanted to continue (picture in my first post))

A quick check on http://www.interlopers.net/errors/ revealed that you indeed have too many brushes.
The Interlopers error checker is a very useful tool. You can find it on the above mentioned link, and then simply paste your entire compile log in the textbox. It filters out all the errors in your log and gives you a brief description, and a solution.
What kind of map are you making? Do you have alot of complex geometry? Is it a very detailed map? Do you tie detail brushes to func_detail?

i am making a skill surf map with big ramps  and lots of space, also on my surframps i have some detail but all surframps are made func_detail, and i try to make everything in rooms of boxes, so all the details in the room are func_detail, to avoid alot of visleafs. but i dont understand how i can have to many brushes. ive made maps before who turned out perfectly fine, with not that many brushes, and even tho those maps were way bigger and more detailed.

if we cant find the cause can i send you the map so you can have a look at it? \

thanks again.

I'd love to help, but my current laptop can't run Hammer :/ - Anyone else?
Perhaps you could show a picture of the overview of the entire map in Hammer, on the grid top-view?

again thanks alot for the help. also all the bends and everything i have boxed around and made the bends func_detail so they wont create that enourmous amount of visleaf, im trying to optimize along with the mapping.

Wow, that can never take up 90% of the planes. It looks perfectly optimized. I'm baffled..
EDIT: Are you using a third-party compiler? When you start compiling, is every setting set to "normal"? Also, try to compile without that particular brush, #49756. If that doesn't work, someone else needs to take it over from me  \
