Futuristic Racing Game in Unity

45 second track built in 5 minutes using the track editor in my game "Protowave"
I plan on having fast paced, highly skill based gameplay similar to FZero GX, but I won't be working on the controls/gameplay until I'm done with all the major features of the track editor.

Do you mean the track editor? If so yeah, that's pretty much all the game is so far.

I had a chat to you about htis yesterday (or the day before). Either way, my feelings are still the same - it looks like a really solid program so far and I'd be very interested n playing around with the editor.

I think it may be worth utilising a new skybox (just a crappy one is fine). I found that lots of the effect of being upside down or around the wrong way is lost in your video and the relatively nondescript space skybox probably is hindering this rather than helping. Something simple like putting a picture of earth or a moon or some crazy - but distinguishing - object would mean that there's a nice fixed reference for the player to feel like they're upside down (or sideways) relative to.

It may also be the fixed camera but I think that's something else you'll just have to tweak over time.

Thanks for the feedback. Pretty much all the visual elements in my game currently are place holders, except maybe some parts of the GUI. I got the skybox for free but I plan on doing other environments such as cities, oceans, and mountains that will definitely create the feeling of being upside down. Also I haven't made any models like space stations or buildings yet that would also help create that effect.

That looks like a pretty neat editor.  What's it built on?
