surf_parkway(?) - Throwing it out there as "open-source"
« on: October 20, 2014, 12:20:58 AM »
Hey all,

It's been a while since I've been around, been working on mobile game dev. Was recently going through my harddrive doing some cleanup and found all of my old surf projects...

Before I left I had been working on surf_parkway (http://forums.solidsurf.info/index.php?topic=3146.0)

I had been wanting to do something to help the DM style surf maps scene, as that is where I had always had the most fun, and this was going to be one of my contributions. Now, I don't have the time to finish/release it - so I'm opening up the .vmf file for anyone to use. Not sure if this is of any interest to anyone, but I'm posting just in case. I think the map geometry is in decent "template" state to be built on top of.

Use it, build on it, fix the broken shit, ignore it, do whatever you want with it, it now belongs to the community. If you do end up making something with it, credit would be cool, but don't feel obligated.

I'm actually really enjoying how this is turning out. What did you plan on using this map for? CS:S, CS:GO or GMod? I presume cs:s as that's what is in the screenshots.

If i remember i'll try to go in and add a bit to it after school \ Maybe even make a youtube video about it if i can get my recording software to render properly.
